About the Event

This concert will bring you a new experience of music events, a string quartet and Indian tabla.

Music including music from Finland and Taiwan.

This is a part of the event at '2022 SISU ‧ FORMOSA Festival'.

‘Sisu’ is a Finnish concept described as stoic determination, tenacity of purpose, grit, bravery, resilience, and hardiness and is held by Finns themselves to express their national character. ‘Formosa’ is a given name for the Taiwan Island from a Portuguese word that literately means ‘a beautiful Isle’. These two words give great energy and encourage people that, to keep an active, positive, braveness attitude to gain beautiful achievement.

Music is the most powerful and international language. Through our music performance, we wish to bring calmness and peace to people and the world.

The concert is an intercultural style presented by a tabla player I-Han Fu and Erinys Quartet.  The music in this program collaborates with various musical elements from all over the world. include the composition Formosa and Sisu, composed by I-Han Fu. And ‘Tabla Rasa’ and ’Dr. Mysore’ was composed by famous Dutch musician Oene van Geel, who gave strong influence and inspiration to I-Han.
